Cue the trumpets… We have today opened registration for the Microlise Transport Conference 2018, set to take place on 16th May at The Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
In 2017 the event attracted more than 1,200 delegates becoming one of the best attended events in the annual road transport calendar.
For 2018, we’re planning an enhanced programme and even bigger speaker line-up and will have some big announcements in the coming weeks and months regarding the agenda.
Once again the event will be free-to-attend filling the 6,000 square metre hall at the home of the Wasps rugby team, with three focused workshops and an all new innovation zone. The conference will again be supported by a sizable exhibition area featuring prominent transport brands, alongside innovators, industry organisations and other special guests.
Building on the Conference’s innovation and technology focus, the Microlise Transport Conference will offer insight on the industry’s big topics from platooning and alternative fuels; to skills, compliance and inevitably, the effects on the industry of Brexit.
“It has been great to see the Microlise Transport Conference grow in stature and importance,” said Nadeem Raza, Chief Executive Officer, Microlise. “We began in our board room with 20 friendly faces just less than a decade ago and have watched as the event has grown tremendously. It’s now become a key industry event where the bonds of collaboration and cooperation are fused, and the key issues discussed and debated.”
We’ll again be celebrating the UK’s most talented HGV drivers, with the Microlise Driver of the Year Awards. Through analysis of more than 180,000 drivers’ telematics data, and via industry nominated categories we will shine a light on those deserving recognition for their truly exemplary work in 2017. The nominated categories include HGV Hero, Lifetime Achievement, Extra Mile, Most Improved and Young Driver of the Year.
Motor Transport will once again be the media partner for the event, hosting a special manufacturer panel session in the main conference agenda. Transaid will be supported as the conference charity of choice.
